TAMPA, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks faced off against Sunshine State Conference foe Tampa on Friday evening from the Bob Martinez Athletics Center. NSU fell in three sets to the Spartans (20-25, 10-25, 11-25).

HOW IT HAPPENED

NSU got off to a strong start in the first set, taking a 3-1 lead following a pair of service aces from Grace Green and a kill from Kate Mihacevich.

After Tampa took a 6-4 lead over NSU, Mihacevich scored back-to-back points to tie the set at 6-6.

The Sharks and Spartans battled back-and-forth for much of the set, as the Spartans lead 17-15.

Tampa closed out the opening set and defeated the Sharks, 25-20.

UT took the second set 25-10 over NSU, as the Sharks dropped the opening two sets.

Nova Southeastern opened the third set with a 5-2 lead, but the Spartans rallied back to tie at 5-5.

The Sharks dropped the third set, and the match, falling 25-11.
