FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Shark Invitational continued Saturday as the Nova Southeastern University Men's and Women's Swimming programs took on Tampa, Florida Southern, Florida Tech, St. Thomas and SCAD-Savannah at the NSU Aquatics Center.

RESULTS
HOW IT HAPPENED (Women's)
· Shark teammates Emily Trieschmann (1st/10:17.68) and Illaria Murzilli (2nd/10:22.36) were the top two finishers in the 1000 Yard Freestyle. Estelle Bauer and Victoria Ortiz also finished inside the top-10.
· In the 200 Yard Medley Relay, Celina Marquez, Savanna Best, Sasha Maslova and Bethany Weber finished 3rd (1:45.72), just over a second out of first place.
· Marquez (5th/57.35), Mollie Morfelt (8th/58.37) and Emilia Ronningdal (10th/58.86) recorded top-10 finishes in the 100 Yard Backstroke.
· Best won the 100 Yard Breaststroke with a time of 1:04.59.
· Trieschmann won her second event of the day, finishing first in the 200 Yard Freestyle (1:52.65). Ronningdal (2nd/1:53.65) and Murzilli (5th/1:54.85) also earned top-5 finishes.
· Maslova (4:30.37) won the 400 Yard IM, winning by over 5 seconds. May Lowy (3rd/4:36.26) and Best (4th/4:37.95) rounded out the top-4 finishers.
· The Sharks finished 3rd in the 400 Yard Freestyle Relay, with Ronningdal, Trieschmann, Solana Capalbo and Weber combining for a time of 3:33.34.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Men's)
· On the men's side, reigning Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Meet Luca Alessandrini finished 4th in the 1000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 9:40.09.
· Gustav Henriksen, Robert Spekis, Umberto Marsic and Thomas Flower earned 5th place in the 200 Yard Medley Relay with a combined time of 1:35.13.
· Jarryd Baxter (2nd/51.17) finished fractions of second behind first place in the 100 Yard Backstroke. Henriksen (5th/51.99) also finished inside the top-5.
· Flower earned second in 200 Yard Freestyle, finishing with a time of 1:40.20.
· Baxter (2nd/4:07.54) added another top-two finish to his day after a second-place finish in the 400 Yard IM.
· Marsic(50.01) won the 100 Yard Butterfly in a thriller, winning by a narrow 0.08 seconds over Tampa's Nick Piscitelli.
· The Sharks' 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team earned second place. Marsic, Flower, Alessandrini and Baxter finished with a combined 3:05.57.
Following the meet, Nova Southeastern's Hannah Trieschmann was named the Michael D. Fish Women's High Point Award recipient.
