FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. – Nova Southeastern women's basketball team takes down Bluefield State 86-58 in this afternoon's non-conference matchup. The Sharks were led by Zeyno Seren, who poured in a career-high 22 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
First Half – Hailey Conley put the first points on the board for the Sharks, scoring a driving layup in the opening minute of the game. Midway through the first quarter, three-pointers from India Shepherd and Madison Frederick gave the Sharks their biggest lead of the quarter but Bluefield reclaimed the lead heading into the second quarter. With just under five minutes remaining in the second quarter, a three-pointer from Seren sparked an 11-0 run for NSU, giving them an 11-point lead. Frederick capped off a great quarter for the Sharks, knocking down a buzzer-beating three-pointer to close out the half.
Second Half – The Sharks came out aggressive, going on a 16-0 run to start the quarter, with baskets from Frederick, Conley, Mackenzie Steele, Kyarrah Grant, Seren, and Shepherd. The run was their biggest of the game and extended their lead to 26 points. At the end of the quarter, Seren continued her stellar performance, scoring a driving layup at the buzzer, giving the Sharks a 61-38 lead heading into the final frame. The Sharks kept their foot on the gas pedal throughout the entire fourth quarter and sealed the victory. Nova Southeastern win's tonight's matchup and brings their overall record to 10-1.
