HOW IT HAPPENED

ST QUARTER – McKenah Peters took the game over from the tip-off, scoring the first eight-points of the contest for NSU, making her first two three-pointers. A'Lexus Bryant added back-to-back makes on lay-ups to push the Sharks lead to 12-3. Later in the quarter, Peters nailed her third three-pointer, putting the Sharks ahead 22-11 with 2:06 remaining in the opening period. The Sharks finished the quarter with a made lay-up from Keanna Williams, sending the game into the second quarter with NSU leading 24-13.

ND QUARTER – Mia Jones got into the scoring to start the second quarter, making her first three-point bucket of the contest to extend the NSU advantage to 27-13. Nearing the midway point of the period, Madeline Hardy knocked down a three-pointer of her own, off an assist from Patricia "Pistol" Brinson, putting the score at 32-17. Peters and Jones each made another three-pointer each, keeping the Sharks ahead by double digits with under four minutes remaining in the half. Nova Southeastern went into the halftime break leading 41-28.

RD QUARTER – The halftime break slowed both offenses down, as neither team was able to get back on the scoreboard for the first two minutes of the second half. Makenna Drabick halted a brief 5-0 run by Rollins to put the score at 43-33. India Shepherd assisted Brinson on a three-point basket, as the Sharks extended their advantage to 46-34. Rollins forgot to cover Shepherd behind the three-point line on consecutive possession, and the freshman guard knocked down back-to-back threes to put NSU ahead 54-36.

TH QUARTER – Grace Gilmore gave NSU a 59-37 lead by scoring the first five-points of the fourth quarter. Drabick converted an and-one later in the quarter, and also created instant offense with a steal and a fast break lay-up to score five straight points of her own to put NSU a head 64-39. Nova Southeastern went into cruise control, continuing to stymie the Rollins offense and earned their 15th win of the season to the tune of 74-45.
