HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Although seventh following their round one score of (+20) 304, the Sharks remain only two shots out of third place, which currently sits as a three-way tie between Saint Leo, Florida Southern and Lynn.
- Barry owns the 18-hole lead at nine-over par, four strokes better than Embry-Riddle (+13).
- After bogeying her very first hole of the day, and making the turn at two-over, Fall climbed back even thanks to back-to-back birdies on No. 10 and 11. A late bogey on No. 16 snapped her streak of nine straight holes without one, yet she finished the afternoon just one behind co-leaders Alice Gotbring (Barry) and Mackenzie Dieter (Embry-Riddle).
- Hanna Ahlander posted an opening round of (+5) 76 to earn an early share of 17th, while Ellen Ramstedt currently sits one back of Ahlander in a tie for 22nd following a birdie-birdie finish to her round.
- At eight-over par, Sofia Garcia Austt and Ellen Andersson both wrapped up round one in a tie for 32nd.
