HOW IT HAPPENED:
BOT 2nd | After the Tars led off the inning with two straight singles, NSU starting pitcher Ashley Connor eventually worked around a bases-loaded jam to keep the game scoreless.

TOP 4th | The Sharks were held hitless through the opening three-plus innings until Sydney Lageyre broke through with a base hit up the middle. Ryleigh Langwell followed with a single into left center to put two aboard with just one out. However, the Sharks would groundout to the pitcher before then striking out to leave both baserunners stranded.

BOT 9th | As both pitchers dealt all game, Connor gave Rollins a small window of opportunity after issuing a one-out walk. An ensuing infield single put runners on first and second still with one away. That's when the Tars put a double steal in motion, which forced an errant throw, allowing the game's only run to score.

INSIDE THE STATS:
  • Connor surrendered nine hits and one unearned while walking two and striking out four across 8.1 innings in the circle.
  • Langwell accounted for two of NSU's combined three hits.
  • Rollins starter Ashley Worrell struck out 12 in a nine-inning, complete-game effort.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 1st | The Sharks got on the scoreboard quickly, as Madison Fine found a hole through the right side of the infield to plate Alexis Smith with two outs in the inning.

BOT 3rd | A two-run homer off the bat of Rollins' Raiven Bryant allowed the Tars to grab a 2-1 edge.

TOP 6th | Cashing in once again with two outs, Tia Williams came around to tie the ball game on a Sidney Swantic infield hit.

BOT 9th | NSU starter Emily Hess posted five straight shut-out innings until a miscue in right field allowed Rollins to put a runner in scoring position with one out. Just moments later, the Tars' Jaden Walker lined a single back up the middle to send Rollins to yet another walk-off win.

INSIDE THE STATS:
  • Fine and Swantic each finished 2-for-4 with one RBI apiece.
