BRISTOL, TN – The Sharks' offense put on a show, leading to a dominant 2-0 win over King in the opener of the 2022 season. Katharina Jüllich and Luana Grabias each recorded their first goals in a Sharks uniform to lead NSU to the victory.

HOW IT HAPPENED
· The Sharks and Tornado played a tight game for the first 20 minutes as neither team was able to fire off a shot attempt.
· In the back-end of the first half, both Luana Grabias and Johanna Barth were able to get shots on goal, but were unable to sneak it past the Tornado's goalkeeper.
· Sharks came out the gate in the second half firing off 9 shot attempts within the first 15 minutes of the half, including 3 from Jordyn Pitter.
· In the 85th minute, the Sharks offense was finally able to convert, with Katharina Jüllich finding the back of the net to score NSU's first goal on the new season. Jüllich was assisted by Luana Grabias.
· After helping out her teammate, Luana Grabias was able to also sneak the ball past the Tornado's goalkeeper to give NSU a 2-0 lead in the 87th minute. Grabias was set up for the goal by Sofia Suarez.
· The Sharks' defense hunkered down and helped secure NSU the season-opening win.
