DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's and Women's Cross Country teams traveled to Embry-Riddle on Saturday morning to compete against Sunshine State Conference opponents. Led by Kamila Soja, the women's team had six top-40 finishers on its way to 3rd place at the meet. On the Men's side, Joseph Salerno and four top-50 finishers led the Sharks to a 4th place finish. The Sharks competed against their Sunshine State Conference opponents (Embry-Riddle, Tampa, Palm Beach Atlantic, and Florida Tech). Additionally, NSU Cross Country finished ahead of NCAA Division I, Seton Hall, on both the men's and women's side.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED (Women's)

• Soja finished 3rd with a time of 18:51.80, the sixth-fastest time in program history.
• Leena Saidi (16th/19:45.01), Eden Toal (19th/19:54.65), Ally Jakubiak (20th/19:55.55) and Maya Espinosa (24th/20:09.87) rounded out the top-25 finishers for NSU.
• Christina Adams and McKinzie Winget were also inside the top-40.

 
HOW IT HAPPENED (Men's)

• Salerno (9th/27:12.02) and David Mahnke (12th/27:15.94) were NSU's top two finishers and ranked top-15 at the meet.
• Trey May completed the five-kilometer race in 28:04.61, earning 24th place.
• Adrien Zambaux, Thor Eriksson and Lucas Mardis also finished inside the top 100.
