ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men's Soccer team took down Eckerd in Wednesday night's SSC showdown. NSU was led by goals from Marco Gueli, Alessandro Salvadego, Santiago Marengo, and Noah Holtschoppen.

Gueli knocked in the first goal of the match in the ninth minute (assisted by Alessandro Salvadego).

After an assist on the first goal, Salvadegocame back shortly after with a goal of his own in the 11th minute (assisted by Zyan Andrade).

The Sharks goal barrage continued, this time with a goal from Marengo in the 28th minute, extending NSU's lead to 3-0.

Holtschoppen lasered the fourth goal of the match for NSU into the back of the net in the 30th minute (assisted by Marco Gueli).

Eckerd would finally get on the board in the 71st minute but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. Nova Southeastern takes down the Tritons in tonight's SSC matchup.

Head Coach Matt Watts – I'm really happy for the lads. They deserved the three points tonight. Eckerd is a really tough place to go and win and our guys were clinical in the first half. We have to use this result and build on it.

Nova Southeastern is back in action on Saturday, October 14th at 7:00 PM as they travel to Daytona Beach, FL to take on Embry-Riddle.
