CHAMPIONSGATE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Sharks Men's Golf team began play at the Citrus Intercollegiate Invitational on Monday. The Sharks ended the first two rounds of the tournament are in second-place, shooting five-under as a team, while Michael Hay (-6) is tied for first.

Michael Hay got off to a terrific start in the Sharks final tournament of the fall, parring his first five holes before adding a pair of birdies. Hay tallied two more birdies on the back-nine, finishing his first round at -2. In his second round, Hay birdied three holes on the front-nine, before shooting a bogey-free back-nine, ending his day in a tie for first place.

Joseba Torres also started out extremely well, shooting a bogey-free front-nine in his first round with three birdies. Torres parred each of his final five holes, ending the round at -1. In the second round, Torres recorded 14 pars and a pair of birdies, ending the day tied for eighth at one-under.

Jorge Berea finished his first round at one-over, tallying four birdies. Berea birdied three holes on the front-nine in his second-round, before ending the afternoon with 11 consecutive pars, finishing the day at an even-par and tied for 17^th.

Will McGhie, ended the round tied with his teammate Berea, recorded ten birdies across both rounds on Monday, including birdieing three consecutive holes to close out the front-nine in his second round. McGhie ended the day with a bogey-free back-nine.

Ivan Pondomenech closed out Mondays action at two-over, recording four birdies in his first round. The freshman shot a bogey-free front-nine in his second round, tallying three
birdies.
