FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Sharks returned to the pool on Friday afternoon, taking on Florida International and Lynn in day one of the tri-meet from the NSU Aquatic Center. Both the Men's and Women's Swimming teams opened up day one on a strong note.
DAY ONE RESULTS

(Women's)
- Emily Trieschmann (4:56.36), Ilaria Murzilli (5:02.88), and Hailey Williams (5:05.35) took the top three spots in the 500 Freestyle.
- In the 200 Butterfly, Rafaela Raurich took first with a time of 2:00.77.
- Trieschmann captured her second victory of the day, placing first in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:51.29.

(Men's)
- Gustav Henriksen, Inigo Marina, Rhett Moore, and Mateus Ribeiro placed first in the 200 Medley Relay with a time of 1:32.57.
- Keith Peristeridis took first in the 500 Freestyle with a time of 4:33.16.
- Marina finished first in the 50 Breaststroke with a time of 25.26.
- In the 50 Freestyle, Ribeiro (21.20) and Umberto Marsic (21.50) captured first and second place.
- Sharks dominated in the 200 Butterfly, with Luca Alessandrini (1:53.94), Moore (1:59.09), and Matthew Gush (2:02.08) taking first, second, and third place.
- With a time of 2:00.58, Marina placed first in the 200 Breaststroke.
- Henriksen captured first in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 50.27.
- Peristeridis secured his second victory of the day, claiming first in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:42.15.
- The group of Marsic, Ribeiro, Peristeridis, and Christian Vendetti placed first in the 400 Freestyle Relay with a time of 3:08.32.

Ben Hewitt – We raced well tonight, executed across the board in a lot of different events and I'm happy with how we bounced back from the last meet and three tough weeks of training.
The Sharks will be back in the pool on November 4
th at 10:00 AM for day two of the tri-meet at the NSU Aquatic Center.
