FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – No. 22 Nova Southeastern dropped a non-conference matchup against Erskine 14-5 on Saturday evening from the NSU Baseball Complex. The Sharks are now 3-2 on the 2023 campaign.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Top of the First – Erskine got on the board in the first inning, plating a run following two hits in the frame.
Bottom of the First –
Tyler Epstein led off the frame with a single through the left side and immediately put himself in scoring position by stealing second.
Duncan Pastore drove in Epstein, representing the tying run, with an RBI single to right field.
Top of the Second – The Fleet added two more runs in the second inning with a two-run home run, taking a 3-1 lead over NSU.
Bottom of the Third – The Sharks were able to tie the game once again, following back-to-back RBI hits from
Derek Bermudez and
Marcus Franco, putting the score at 3-3.
Erskine plated runs in four consecutive innings, taking a 14-4 lead over the Sharks.
Bottom of the Eighth –
Kristian Noriega recorded his second home run of the season, cutting the score to 14-5.
