WINGATE, N.C. – Nova Southeastern Baseball continued its series against the Wingate Bulldogs on Friday evening. The Sharks were defeated 7-1 from Ron Christopher Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Bottom of the Second – After recording back-to-back strikeouts to open the inning, the Sharks were unable to escape the frame unscathed, as the Bulldogs plated the games first run.
Top of the Third – NSU threatened to score, loading the bases, but the Sharks were unable to plate a run in the inning.
Bottom of the Third – The Bulldogs added a pair of runs in the inning, taking a 3-0 lead over Nova Southeastern.
Top of the Sixth – Trailing 4-0, NSU had runners on second and third with one out – following a double from
Daniel Irisarri – but the Sharks were held off the scoreboard.
Bottom of the Sixth – WC scored two more runs in the frame, putting the score at 6-0
Top of the Ninth – Nova Southeastern began to rally in the final frame, having the first four batters of the inning reach base. The Sharks scored their first run of the contest on a fielder's choice and loaded the bases with two outs in the inning. NSU was unable to continue their rally, dropping the contest, 7-1
