FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Softball team dropped their first home SSC matchup against Rollins on Friday evening. The loss gives NSU their first SSC loss of the season and brings their overall record to 10-4.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
TOP 1st | The Tars were able to bring the first run of the game across home plate thanks to a sacrifice fly.
BOT 1st | Alexis Smith started the inning with a walk, shortly after she stole for second. Ryleigh Langwell then batted in Smith in the ensuing at-bat and knotted the game up at one apiece.
BOT 2nd | With a runner on second base, Grace Rende singled to center field, bringing Drogemuller across home plate and giving NSU their first lead of the game. Samantha Burke and Alexi Watkins both singled in the next two at-bats, putting a runner on first and second for the Sharks. Smith came up to the plate and earned her first RBI of the night, batting in a run for NSU and giving the Sharks a 3-1 lead.
BOT 4th | An RBI from Smith tacked another run on the board for NSU, increasing their lead to three.
TOP 5th | The Tars were able to score four runs in the inning, giving themselves the first lead of the game and a 7-4 run advantage.
BOT 6th | A wild pitch by the Tars allowed Alexi Watkins to score and bring the Shark deficit to two.
BOT 7th | The Sharks fought valiantly but they were unable to complete the comeback, dropping tonight's SSC matchup to Rollins 7-5.
