NSU Extends Winning Streak to Six Games

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – Nova Southeastern Baseball continued its hot-stretch, winning their sixth consecutive game, and defeated St. Cloud State 8-4 on Friday evening from the NSU Baseball Complex. Stephen Schissler and Marcus Franco powered the Sharks past the Huskies, as each hit a home run and drove in multiple runs.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Cooper Omans retired the first ten St. Cloud hitters he faced, striking out six.

Bottom of the Third – Stephen Schissler opened the inning with a lead-off walk and quickly put himself into scoring position by swiping second base. Duncan Pastore drove in Schissler with an RBI single to left, putting NSU ahead 1-0.

Top of the Fourth – The Huskies tied the game on an RBI double, putting the score at 1-1.

Bottom of the Fourth – Kristian Noriega reclaimed the lead for the Sharks, driving in Schissler and MC Sagaro on an RBI double.

Top of the Sixth – St. Cloud State tied the game at 3-3, once again on an RBI double.

Top of the Seventh – The Huskies took their first lead of the game on an RBI triple and led NSU 4-3.

Bottom of the Seventh – Marcus Franco and Schissler each hit a home run in the frame, reclaiming the lead for the Sharks and putting the score at 5-4.

Bottom of the Eighth – NSU plated three more runs, extending its advantage to 8-4 over the Huskies, as both Franco and Schissler drove in runs for the Sharks.
