NSU Falls in Series Opener to Eagles

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Baseball team dropped the Sunshine State Conference series opener to  Embry-Riddle on Thursday evening, losing 12-5.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Top 1st | Nova Southeastern jumped on the scoreboard early, as Adam Frank put the Sharks up 2-0 with a home-run down the left field line. 
Bot 1st | The Eagles struck back and tied the game 2-2.
Top 2nd | NSU reclaimed the lead after a Bryce Hazzard hit to right field and a throwing error, allowing Michael Uz to score.
Bot 2nd | Embry-Riddle led 4-3 over the Sharks, taking advantage of an NSU error
Bot 3rd | The Eagles' extended their lead to 5-3, following another Sharks error.
Top 5th | Frank's third RBI of the contest came in the fifth inning, as he drove in Ryan Cainzos with a double. 
Top 8th | Kristian Noriega drove in Daniel Irisarri on a game-tying double, tying the game at 5-5 with two outs in the frame. 
Bot 8th | A seven-run outburst from the Eagles broke the tie, and put the score at 12-5. 
What's Next
The Sharks will close out its series with the Eagles in a double-header on Friday, April 7. First pitch is set for 1 p.m.
