FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – A Luana Grabias second-half goal brought the Sharks back into the match. However, both defenses and goalkeepers were zoned in and kept the ball out of the net. Nova Southeastern and Saint Anselm ended Sunday's match in a 1-1 draw from the NSU Soccer Stadium.

Stefane Rosa was lockdown in the net right out the gate, knocking away two goal attempts from the Saints.

In the 15th minute, the Saints got one by Rosa, to give themselves a 1-0 lead.

Sofia Suarez fired away a shot-on-goal but was knocked away by the Saints' goalkeeper in the 36th minute.

In the 64th minute, Luana Grabias lasered one into the back of the net, tying the match at 1-1.

Both defenses hunkered down and held both offenses without a shot attempt the rest of the way.

Despite a late offensive push by NSU, the match would end in a 1-1 draw.
Coach Amy Vaughan – St. Anselm came out strong, they're a well organized team and full credit to them. The girls reacted well and showed a lot of character to put in the second half performance they did and we came away disappointed with not winning the game. Overall it's good weekend for us and we're looking forward to building on it.
Nova Southeastern is back in action on Friday, September 8th as they travel to Huntsville, Alabama to take on the University of Alabama in Huntsville at 6:00 PM.
