LAKELAND, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks were defeated in a highly competitive four-set Sunshine State Conference matchup against the Florida Southern Moccasins on Saturday evening.

- Florida Southern began the opening set on a 7-2 run, as the Sharks faced an early deficit.
- The Sharks were unrelenting despite the deficit, rallying back throughout the set before tying the score at 22-22 with a service ace from Taylor Stockman.
- Trailing 24-22, Kate Mihacevich recorded a kill, while Brittany Landry and Gabrielle Spankus added a block, which tied the set at 24-24 and forced extra points.
- Florida Southern claimed the opening set 26-24.
- The second set continued the back-and-forth trend between Nova Southeastern and Florida Southerm as the score was deadlocked at 7-7 early on.
- FSC rallied for three consecutive points, but the Sharks responded with a 6-0 run following a timeout – led by kills from Nadia Lindner and Taylor Stockman – giving NSU a 13-10 lead and forcing the Mocs to use a timeout of their own.
- Florida Southern closed out the second set with a 25-20 victory, putting NSU behind 2-0 in the match.
- Nova Southeastern opened an 8-5 lead in the third set, as the run was capped by a block from Landrum and Spankus.
- Lindner tallied two service aces midway through the third set, giving the Sharks a 17-12 advantage.
- Later in the set, Elizabeth Price added a service ace of her own, putting NSU in front 20-14.
- The Sharks closed out the third set with a 25-15 win, getting back in the match and trailing 25-15.
- Florida Southern began the fourth set on a 6-2 run, forcing the Sharks to use a timeout.
- A 5-0 run, sparked by Lindner and capped by a block from Maddy Hooper and Lindner, tied the fourth set at 11-11.
- Florida Southern reclaimed the lead, as the Sharks attempted to battle back, but NSU fell short and dropped the match in four sets.
