MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - A late goal from Sofia Suarez helped lead the Sharks to a 1-1 tie with the Barry Buccaneers on Sunday afternoon in Miami Shores, Fla.

• After a scoreless first half, the Bucs broke the stalemate with a penalty kick goal to take a 1-0 lead in the 48th minute. 

• Sofia Suarez would score a goal off a penalty kick in the 84th minute to tie the match at one apiece.  

Both teams continued to battle it out but neither side could break the tie. Nova Southeastern and Barry would go on tie 1-1 in Sunday afternoon's SSC showdown.   
 
   

Coach Amy Vaughan - There have been a lot of changes and distractions in the last week with the hurricane, school closures, and schedule changes. We're very proud of how the girls showed resilience and character to get back into the game and get a point on the road.  We're looking forward to building on the result and moving forward.
