TAMPA, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks tied with the Tampa Spartans in an SSC battle on Wednesday night from Pepin Stadium. Ade Olumyiwa scored the lone goal for NSU but the Spartans answered in the back half of the match, ultimately leading to a 1-1 tie.

• Ade Olumyiwa put the Sharks on the board with 10 seconds left in the first half to take a 1-0 advantage. 

• The Spartans tied the match in the 69th minute with a penalty kick goal. 

Both teams hunkered down defensively, not conceding another goal for the rest of the match, leading to a 1-1 tie between the Sharks and the Spartans.  


 

Coach Matt McArthur - Couldn't fault the effort and attitude from the team tonight. Disappointed we didn't get the win but proud of the team's application after a quick turnaround from playing Eckerd Monday. We go again Saturday vs Florida Southern.

     

Nova Southeastern will be back action Saturday, October 26th at 7PM and will celebrate their seniors in a pregame ceremony.
