FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern women's soccer team fell short in a conference battle with the University of Tampa.  NSU dropped Wednesday night's conference matchup against the Spartans 3-1 from the NSU Soccer Stadium.

• The Spartans were very aggressive from the jump but Emilie Schroeder was able to hold off the first wave of shots that were attempted against her. 

• Then in the 22nd minute, the Spartans put one in the back of the net off a corner kick. 

• The Sharks had a few chances to get back into it but in the 37th minute Tampa put another shot in the back of the net off a set piece. 

• The Sharks came out aggressive in the second half and capitalized in the 63rd minute with a goal by Mariela Dolan. 

• Tampa scored again the 72nd minute to take a commanding 3-1 lead.

• NSU continued to fight but it wasn't enough ultimately dropping tonight's SSC matchup against the Spartans 3-1.
  
   

 
 
Nova Southeastern will be back in action on October 26th in another conference match against Florida Southern College at 7 pm.
