MIAMI, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Swim teams finished up competition at the season-opening TYR Fall Classic, hosted by Florida International. The Men's team took third place in the meet, and the Women's team placed fourth. The Sharks had a total of 23 top-three finishes.

- Gavin Lindley, Inigo Marina, Joshua Parry, and Mateus Ribeiro placed second in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:32.92.
- In the 500 free, Luca Alessandrini finished first with a time of 4:38.30.
- With a time of 2:07.05, Marina took second in the 200 breast.
- Gustav Henriksen swam into first place in the 200 back with a time of 1:52.08.
- In the 100 free, Thomas Flower placed second with a time of 46.03.
- With a time of 1:56.01, Javier Colmenares finished second in the 200 individual medley.
- The group of Lindley, Alessandrini, Ribeiro, and Flower took third in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:05.10.

Head Coach
Ben Hewitt - We swam some tough competition amidst a unique meet format. We were challenged and performed through the ups and downs of the meet. It's a reminder for where we are at and what we need to do better moving forward.
The Sharks open their home season at the NSU Aquatic Center at 2:00 PM on October 11
th for a tri-meet with Barry and Florida Atlantic.
