BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Volleyball team rallied to overcome a 2-0 deficit in the match to force a fifth set against the #17 Lynn Fighting Knights in a near-upset effort, before dropping the final frame in extra points on Friday evening at the de Hoernle Sports & Cultural Center.

- The Sharks found themselves trailing 7-3 in the early stages of the opening set.
- Olivia Aniol, Taylor Stockman, and Elizabeth Price all contributed points during a 4-1 rally by the Sharks, as NSU cut the deficit to 8-7
- A kill from Juliana Imbuzeiro allowed the Sharks to tie the frame at 9-9
- Lynn closed the first set by a score of 25-18
- Nova Southeastern faced an early deficit in the second half but Kate Mihacevich tallied three consecutive kills for the Sharks and gave NSU an 11-10 lead over Lynn
- NSU and Lynn battled back-and-forth for the remainder of the frame before falling behind 2-0 in the match.
- The Sharks flipped the script in the third set, rallying for a 4-2 advantage over Lynn as Brittany Landrum tallied each of the points for NSU.
- Later in the set, with NSU trailing 15-13, a service error by Lynn followed by three kills from Price, allowed the Sharks to take an 18-15 lead.
- Nova Southeastern closed the set on a 7-3 run, taking the frame 25-18 over Lynn
- In the fourth frame, a block from Aniol and Imbuzeiro tied the set at 7-7
- Mihacevich and Taylor Stockman recorded back-to-back kills for NSU, giving the Sharks an 11-9 lead
- The SSC foes traded points for the remainder of the frame until the Sharks seized full control and won the set 25-21 courtesy of a 7-1 rally
- Lynn and NSU continued to battle back-and-forth in the final frame, as neither team created much separation.
- Stockman gave NSU a 14-12 lead but Lynn was able to close the match with the final four points, as the Sharks fell in a heartbreaker.
