Nova Southeastern Splits in Dual Meet Against Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Sharks Swim teams returned to the pool on Saturday morning in Tampa, Florida as they went head-to-head with the Tampa Spartans. The Women's team was victorious, winning 154.5-107.5, while the Men's team was defeated 191-71.

(Women's)
  • The group of Maria Goncalves, Hannah Montgomery, Kristina Orban, and Maya Esparza secured first in the 200 medley relay with a time of 1:42.22. 
  • In the 1000 free, Hailey Williams took first with a time of 10:05.84..
  • Emilia Ronningdal captured first in the 200 free with a time of 1:51.13.
  • With a time of 1:02.76, Claire Gass placed first in the 100 breast. Following Gass in second with a time of 1:03.23 was Montgomery.
  • In the 200 fly, May Lowy took second with a time of 2:03.81..
  • Esparza secured the first place finish in the 50 free with a time of 23.41.
  • With a time of 51.32, Orban captured first in the 100 free. Zsofia Kurdi placed second with a time of 51.42.
  • Lowy finished second in the 200 back with a time of 2:02.78.
  • In the 200 breast, Montgomery was victorious, finishing with a time of 2:19.47. Gass came in second with a time of 2:20.01.
  • Williams took second in the 500 free with a time of 4:59.12.
  • Orban captured another first place finish, securing the win in the 100 fly with a time of 55.97.
  • With a time of 2:04.03, Ronningdal finished second in the 200 IM.
  • Orban, Kurdi, Esparza, and Ronningdal were victorious in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:25.81. The group of Maria Goncalves, Ilaria Murzilli, Williams, and Bethany Weber took second with a time of 3:29.60.

  • Thomas Flower placed second in the 200 free with a time of 1:38.84.
  • In the 200 fly, Joshua Parry was victorious with a time of 1:48.77.
  • Flower took second in the 100 free with a time of 45.25.
  • Gustav Henriksen finished in second in the 200 back with a time of 1:47.93.
  • In the 100 fly, Parry secured the win with a time of 48.67.
  • With a time of 1:52.10, Henriksen placed second in the 200 IM.
  • The group of Gavin Lindley, Parry, Mateus Ribeiro, and Flower took second in the 400 free relay with a time of 3:00.33.

How it Happened
The Nova Southeastern Swim teams are back in action on November 8th at 4:00 PM as they host Lynn and Florida International in a tri-meet from the NSU Aquatic Center.
