FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The #15 ranked NSU Softball team extended their win streak to 12 games after securing a doubleheader sweep over Florida Tech on Saturday afternoon from the AD Griffin Sports Complex. Alyssa Drogemuller led the way for NSU, totaling two hits, two runs, and three RBIs across both games.

BOT 1st – With the bases loaded, Madison Fine singled to center field, batting in Alexis Smith and Drogemuller to give the Sharks an early 2-0 lead. Shortly after, Alisha Lanyon joined the action with an RBI single to left field, tacking on another run for NSU. The Shark Surge continued as RBIs from Kerstyn Shaw and Maliyah Lawson extended the Sharks lead to 5-0.
TOP 2nd – The Panthers answered with three runs to cut their deficit to two.
BOT 4th – A sacrifice fly from Gianna Russo and an RBI from Lanyon extended the Sharks lead to 7-3.
BOT 5th – Lawson closed out the Sharks scoring with a run to put NSU up 8-3, ultimately securing the SSC victory for Nova Southeastern.
Kerstyn Shaw (3), Alisha Lanyon (2), Maliyah Lawson (2), and Madison Fine (2) all had two or more hits.

BOT 1st – Alexis Smith kicked off the action with an RBI single to right field, giving NSU the early lead.
TOP 2nd – FIT answered with a homer to left field and an RBI triple to take the 2-1 lead.
BOT 4th – An RBI single from Ryleigh Langwell tied the match at two apiece. Shortly after, with the bases loaded, Alyssa Drogemuller batted in three runs to push the Sharks ahead 5-2.
TOP 5th – Florida Tech tacked on their third run of the game, but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. Nova Southeastern would go on to secure the 5-3 victory over the Florida Tech Panthers.
Alyssa Drogemuller had three RBIs.

NSU will return to action Friday, March 1st as they head to Winter Park, FL to take on Rollins. The first pitch is scheduled for 6:00 p.m.
