MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team took on the Barry Buccaneers in non-conference action on Tuesday evening from Feinbloom Field. NSU was defeated 8-5 by their Sunshine State Conference foes.

- Nova Southeastern quickly jumped out to a 1-0 lead as Henry Wallen drove in Justin Wachs with a sacrifice fly in the top of the first inning.
- Barry plated a pair of runs in the bottom half the inning, taking a 2-1 lead over NSU.
- The Buccaneers added two more runs on an RBI double, but Wachs and Zeth Rodriguez cut down a third run at the plate with a perfectly executed relay.
- In the bottom of the third inning, the Bucs were able to plate another run, capitalizing on a Sharks error and putting the score at 5-1.
- After making an impact on the game from the defensive side of the ball, Zeth Rodriguez made a larger impact offensively. After Bryan Loriga, Ryan Cainzos and Jorge Braceras all reached base, Rodriguez unloaded the bases with a grand slam and tied the game at 5-5.
- Barry reclaimed the lead in the bottom half of the inning, scoring in the bottom half of the inning.
- The Buccaneers plated two more runs, putting the score at 8-5, and closed out the win.
