Mike Hay Named SwingU Golfer of the Month

NORMAN, OK. - Mike Hay has been named the Division II February 2024 SwingU College Player of the Month as announced in partnership with SwingU and the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA).

Hay earned the first win of his collegiate career while guiding the Sharks to a second-place finish at the Matlock Collegiate Classic on February 6. The graduate student from Middlesbrough, England, shot a three-under 213 (70-72-71) with 12 birdies for the two-stroke victory that earned himself Sunshine State Conference (SSC) Golfer of the Week honors. At the Saint Leo Invitational two weeks later, Hay recorded 14 birdies, including 12 in the final two rounds, and a seven-under 209 (74-68-67) for a T5 finish.

Hay has continued his excellent play into March, guiding Nova Southeastern to the team's second win of the season at the First Federal Southeastern Challenge in Georgia earlier this week. Hay totaled 14 birdies and finished seven-under 209 (69-72-68).

Hay and the Sharks return to action on Monday, March 18th, competing at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Georgia College & State University. To stay up-to-date on Sharks Men's Golf, be sure to follow on Instagram & X at NSU_MGolf.
