FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team completed the four-game sweep over Davenport with an offensive explosion on both sides of the doubleheader on Saturday afternoon at the NSU Baseball Complex. The Sharks began the day winning the first half of the doubleheader 11-4, and closed the series with a 16-4 victory.

Game One
Davenport jumped on the scoreboard in the top of the second inning, plating a pair of runs on a double.
The Sharks responded with six runs of their own in the bottom half of the inning.
MC Sagaro brought in Boris Pena with an RBI single and
Justin Wachs was hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, bringing in
Kader Rabagh, and tying the game at 2-2.
Zeth Rodriguez clubbed a grand slam, plating Wachs, Sagaro and
Jorge Braceras, giving the Sharks a 6-2 lead.
Davenport scored two more runs in the top of the fourth, putting the score at 6-4.
Pena erased the two runs that Davenport scored with a two-run double, driving in Rodriguez and Wachs, giving NSU a four-run advantage.
In the bottom of the sixth inning,
Landon Lowe drove in Rodriguez and Wachs, extending the lead to 10-4.
Later in the inning, Mario Lopez scored on a double play ball, putting NSU ahead 11-4.

Game Two
Nova Southeastern wasted no time in the second half of the doubleheader, starting the game with seven runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Bryan Loriga started the scoring by coming home on a balk, which was followed by an RBI single by Mario Lopez. Lopez later scored on a wild pitch, then
Ariel Garcia added a two-run double bringing in Pena and Sagaro. Loriga capped off the inning with an RBI double, plating Garcia.
In the bottom of the second inning, NSU added two more runs. First, Rodriguez scored on an RBI base hit by Pena, who later came into score on an RBI groundout by Sagaro.
Kristian Noriega worked a bases loaded walk, which was later followed by a two-run single by
Frank Villella, giving the Sharks an 12-0 lead in the bottom of the fourth.
Nova Southeastern scored two more runs in the fifth, putting the score at 14-0.
Davenport plated runs in the sixth, seventh and eighth innings, cutting the NSU lead to 14-4.
Landon Lowe and Boris Pena were both hit by pitches with the bases loaded, giving NSU a 16-4 lead in the eighth inning.

Nova Southeastern will travel to take on the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish in Sunshine State Conference action, beginning a three-game series on Friday, March 15th, in West Palm Beach, Fla.
