FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The #25 ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team took down Saint Leo in walk-off fashion on Friday evening from the AD Griffin Sports Complex. Late-game heroics from Brenna Lokeinsky propelled the Sharks to the SSC victory over the Lions.

TOP 1st – The Lions kicked off the action with two quick runs to take the early 2-0 lead.
BOT 1st – The Sharks answered, thanks to two RBIs from Aubrey Hutzler, tying the game at two apiece.
TOP 4th – Saint Leo reclaimed the lead after an RBI double to right center.
TOP 6th – After a throwing error by the Sharks, SLU tacked on another run, taking a two-run advantage over NSU.
BOT 7th – Nova Southeastern continued to fight, with two runners on base, Alyssa Drogemuller stepped up to the plate and batted in both runners to tie the game at four.
BOT 8th – Brenna Lokeinsky would complete the comeback, hitting an RBI triple to left field, pushing the Sharks ahead 5-4, and securing the series opener against Saint Leo.
Both Alyssa Drogemuller and Aubrey Hutzler had two RBIs.
Brenna Lokeinsky batted in the game-winning run.

NSU will return tomorrow to complete the SSC series against the Lions in a doubleheader at 12:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.
