FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The #25 ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team completed the series sweep over the Saint Leo Lions on Saturday afternoon from the AD Griffin Sports Complex. NSU took down the Lions 8-0 in game one and 6-1 in game two to secure the doubleheader sweep.

BOT 2nd - Gianna Russo kicked off the scoring for the Sharks with a sacrifice fly, bringing Hutzler home to put the Sharks ahead 1-0.
BOT 4th – Russo picked up where she left off, earning another sacrifice fly, this time batting in Brenna Lokeinsky for the Sharks second run of the game.
BOT 5th – The Sharks tacked on another run, scoring off of an error by the Lions to put them up 3-0.
BOT 6th – NSU's surge continued as RBIs from Kerstyn Shaw, Alexis Smith, Madison Fine, Hutzler, and Tori Copeland put the Sharks up 8-0, ultimately securing the game-one victory over the Lions.
Six different Sharks had an RBI (Russo, Shaw, Smith, Fine, Hutzler, Copeland).

BOT 3rd – Brianna Matthews put the first Shark run on the board, scoring off a wild pitch by the Lions. Shortly after, an RBI by Fine extended NSU's lead to 2-0.
BOT 4th - Drogemuller continued her stellar series, singling to left center and bringing Kerstyn Shaw across home plate for another Shark run. Ryleigh Langwell joined the action, hitting an RBI single up the middle to put NSU up 4-0.
BOT 5th – The Sharks run barrage continued as RBIs from Aubrey Hutzler and Brenna Lokeinsky gave NSU a six-run advantage.
TOP 7th – Saint Leo finally got a run on the board but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. Nova Southeastern would secure the victory 6-1 and complete the series sweep over the Lions.

NSU will head to St. Augustine, FL to face Flagler in a doubleheader matchup on Tuesday, April 9th. First pitch is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
