FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Volleyball team was defeated at home for the first time this season in a five-set defeat to the Florida Southern Mocs on Friday night.

• The Sharks began the first set with back-to-back consecutive kills from Caiden Largent.
• Olivia Aniol and Caiden Largent tallied points to make the score 4-3.
• Erika Spankus came off the bench and recorded consecutive points on kills.
• Taylor Stockman and Erika Spankus each recorded a kill to put the Sharks ahead 10-8.
• The Sharks and Mocs exchanged points through the middle of the set, as the score reached 15-15.
• Erika Spankus and Olivia Aniol put the Sharks ahead by four-points, forcing a timeout by the Mocs as the score reached 19-15.
• Brantley Chipley powered the Sharks to a set one victory by putting three of the final four points on the board to finish the set at 25-17.
• The second set opened with four consecutive points for the Sharks, which came from Taylor Stockman and Olivia Aniol.
• Brantley Chipley evened the score at 8-8 after a kill.
• Olivia Aniol and Caiden Largent tallied three points for the Sharks, bringing the score to 16-14 with the Mocs leading.
• Taylor Stockman recorded a kill and a block assisted by Brantley Chipley to cut the deficit to 22-19.
• The Mocs held on to take the second set with a final score of 25-19.
• The third set began with points from Taylor Stockman and Caiden Largent as the Sharks took a 4-2 lead.

• Taylor Stockman, Caiden Largent, and Olivia Aniol each recorded a kill as the Sharks took a 13-10 lead.
• The Sharks pushed the score to 18-13 as Caiden Largent, Abbie Roth, Taylor Stockman, and Erika Spankus each put points on the board to make the score 19-14.
• Taylor Stockman and Olivia Aniol put the Sharks at set point with three total kills.
• The Sharks finished the third set with a 25-21 score after a Caiden Largent kill.
• At the beginning of the fourth set, the Sharks took a quick 4-2 lead after a pair of kills by Olivia Aniol.
• The Sharks fell behind 12-5 as the Mocs took control of the fourth set.
• The Sharks took advantage of a pair of errors, adding a point on a service ace by Olivia Aniol, taking the score to 12-8 for the Mocs.
• Taylor Stockman brought the Sharks back within striking distance as the score sat at 14-12 with the Mocs leading.
• The Sharks rallied late in the set with four consecutive points from Erika Spankus, Brantley Chipley, and Abbie Roth, holding the Mocs at set point and taking the score to 24-22.
• The Sharks ultimately fell in the fourth set, with a final score of 25-22.
• The Sharks and Mocs exchanged points as the fifth set began 2-2.
• Caiden Largent tallied a pair of points to bring the Sharks back even in the set with the score at 8-8.
