TAMPA, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Volleyball team dropped the Friday night matchup against the University of Tampa in three-sets.

- The Sharks and Spartans opened the contest with a quick 3-3 score, where the Sharks saw points from Brantley Chipley and Taylor Stockman.
- A kill by Olivia Aniol and a service ace by Taylor Stockman put the Sharks ahead 5-4.
- The Sharks built an 8-6 lead following points from Olivia Aniol and Ella Kern.
- The Spartans gained the lead with a four-point rally and pushed the score to 10-8.
- Erika Spankus and Taylor Stockman put a pair of points on the board to even the set at 12-12.
- Caiden Largent and Taylor Stockman each recorded a kill as the Sharks trailed 18-15.
- The Spartans remained in the lead for the remainder of the set, finishing the first set with a 25-17 final.
- At the beginning of the second set the Sharks quickly gained momentum with a 3-1 scoring run led by Taylor Stockman, Brantley Chipley, and Erika Spankus.
- The Spartans rallied with a scoring run of their own, taking a 6-5 lead.
- The Sharks tallied consecutive points on kills by Caiden Largent and Brantley Chipley, cutting the deficit to 10-8.
- The Spartans took control of the set with a 7-1 scoring run, pushing the score to 17-9.
- Madelyn Hooper recorded a solo block as the Sharks cut the Spartans lead to 17-11.
- The Spartans finished the second set with a 25-12 final score.
- The Sharks took a 2-0 lead at the outset of the third set, Taylor Stockman recorded both points with a combo block with Madelyn Hooper and a kill.
- The Spartans responded with a 7-1 scoring run, taking a 7-3 lead.
- The Spartans lead quickly grew to 12-5.
- Erika Spankus recorded a kill as the Sharks rallied in the middle of the set, taking the score to 14-9.
- Caiden Largent and Madelyn Hooper tallied back-to-back points as the Sharks got back into striking distance down 16-11.
- Aided by three errors and a service ace by Brooke Spurgeon, the Sharks cut the deficit to 18-15.
- Hadley Dantzler and Cami Kelsay each recorded a kill late in the set to keep the set up for grabs with the score at 24-17 in favor of the Spartans.
- The third set concluded with a 25-17 final score as Tampa picked up the victory.
