FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The 10th-ranked Nova Southeastern Sharks got their revenge in dramatic fashion on Sunday afternoon, as they defeated Florida Tech 6-5 in penalty kicks to capture their first-ever SSC Tournament Championship.
Alexa Bereczki scored the game-winning goal for the Sharks and was also named the Tournament's Most Outstanding Player.

- Genesis Hernandez continued her stellar season, as she notched the Sharks' first goal of the game at the 5:17 mark of the first half off an assist from Bereczki.
- The Panthers responded with a goal of their own at the 23:13 mark of the first half from Savannah Oxley. The score remained deadlocked 1-1 at halftime.
- Neither team was able to score in the second half, nor two overtime periods, setting the stage for a penalty shootout.
- Both the Sharks and the Panthers went 4/5 on penalty kicks, with both teams missing on their fifth attempts.
- Bereczki scored on the Sharks' sixth try, and the Panthers' shot went wide, securing the first ever SSC Tournament Championship for the Sharks.
- Bereczki was named Tournament MOP and was also named to the All-Tournament team. She was joined on the All-Tournament team by Hernandez, Kajsa Lang, Maria Jansen and Ella Niemela.
