The Sharks doubled the Tritons up early, 10-5, on a three-pointer from Rosenberger III just before the first media timeout. It was a back-and-forth affair from there though, as the Tritons tied the game at 10 on a turnaround jumper, and they briefly went ahead 18-16 on a three-pointer from Miquel Llompart. NSU finally started putting distance between themselves and Eckerd, as Graziani hit a jumper to push the Shark advantage to 26-18 with 9:04 remaining.
Eckerd drew within five, but Graziani gave NSU a 33-23 lead on a jumper, and his layup with 4:55 remaining maintained the 10-point lead, 38-28. Eckerd responded with another run to cut the lead to five on a bucket from Wyatt Triestman, but Graziani hit two free throws to go up by 12 with just under two minutes remaining. The Sharks led 47-37 at the half.
NSU got off to a blistering start in the second half, as
Jaxon Nap provided two layups, and
Eli Allen drew a charge before Graziani hit a corner three right in front of the Sharks' bench. That basket extended NSU's lead to 56-41, forcing an Eckerd timeout at the 17:47 mark. The momentum continued rolling NSU's way, as
Ross Reeves later hit a tough floater and drew a foul to go up by 17.
NSU's lead hovered between 14 and 17 points for the majority of the second half, until
Ryan Walsh hit a three-pointer and Nap hit another layup to give them an 81-61 lead with just under nine minutes to play. The Sharks took their biggest lead of the game, 91-69, on two free throws from Nap with 6:44 remaining. NSU eclipsed the 100-point threshold on Walsh's second three-pointer of the game, and they closed out 2025 with the 101-84 win.
