FORT LAUDERDALE, FLA. - The Nova Southeastern women's basketball team, led by four double-digit scorers, defeated the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish Wednesday evening at the Rick Case Arena. The Sharks offense, led by Kailyn Terrell (15 Points), took over in the second half, outscoring the Sailfish 42-33 in the second half to lead to the 71-56 SSC victory.

First Half —The Sharks set the tone early in the interior, scoring 12 of their 16 first-quarter points in the paint. Led by Alana Ellis (5), the Sharks held on to an early 16-10 lead after one. The second quarter featured a defensive clinic, as both teams were limited to four made field goals throughout the quarter, leading to a 29-23 lead for NSU heading into the halftime break.
Second Half – Both teams kicked off the second half, exchanging buckets. At the four-minute mark, the Sharks went on an 11-6 run to extend their lead to 11, led by points from Michaela Cloonan (6), Corina Conley (5), and Kailyn Terrell (5) to give NSU a 53-43 lead going into the final frame. PBA cut the lead to nine with 7:05 left to play, but the Sharks never let it get that close again as Terrell and Jess Moors went on an 8-0 run to extend the lead 67-50. Nova Southeastern kept their foot on the gas pedal, cruising to a 71-56 victory over PBA.

The Sharks will travel to Saint Leo on Saturday, February 15th, for their next matchup against the Saint Leo Lions. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.
