St. Augustine, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Women's Golf team began their first tournament of 2025 today as they played day one of the World Golf Invitational at World Golf Village on Monday morning. NSU (+34) finished day one in a tie for fifth place. Rosanna Halls (+7) and Haruka Muta (+8) both finished inside the top 20.

- Rosanna Halls tallied six birdies through her first round of play.

In her second round, Halls collected two eagles, three birdies, and five pars to complete day one of the tournament in 13th, shooting seven-over.

Haruka Muta started her first round with an eagle on the fifth hole, adding in five birdies on the front nine.

In round two, Muta again eagled the fifth hole. Hitting the turn, she caught fire, collecting two eagles and two birdies. Concluding day one in 17th, at eight-over.

Maria Torres led the Sharks through the first round with seven birdies and an eagle on the fifth hole.

Torres added another eagle in her second round and four birdies. Finishing play eleven-over.

Lua Pousa Dacasa collected five birdies in each of her rounds, with an eagle on the fifth hole in round two. Ending day one fourteen-over.

Ariana Carvalho totaled five birdies and thirteen pars in her two rounds of play. Carvalho finished the day twenty-over.
