FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern women's basketball team earned their second consecutive victory on Saturday afternoon at the Rick Case Arena, taking down the Florida Tech Panthers in an SSC showdown. NSU was led by their suffocating defense which led to 30 points off turnovers as well as double-digit efforts from
Payton Graber (16),
Corina Conley (14), and
Jess Moors (12).

First Half – The Sharks jumped out to a 13-0 lead which featured baskets from Michaela Cloonan, Payton Graber, and Corina Conley. NSU applied pressure defensively as they headed into the second quarter with a 24-7 advantage. The Sharks picked up where they left off, outscoring the Panthers 27-8 in the second quarter to take a commanding 51-15 lead going into the halftime break.
Second Half – The scoring rampage continued for NSU in the third quarter. With 4:38 left to play in the quarter, Alana Ellis jump-started an 8-0 Shark run, capped by a free throw from Michaela Cloonan put the Sharks ahead 65-41 heading into the final quarter. NSU continued to impose their will on both sides of the ball in the final frame, ultimately securing the 81-42 SSC win over Florida Tech.
