DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - After falling behind 6-0 in the first three innings, the Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team rallied to defeat the Embry-Riddle Eagles 10-8 in ten innings in the first game of the Sunshine State Conference series.

Roylan Quevedo - the top three hitters in the Sharks lineup - combined for seven hits, six runs batted in, and five runs.

- Embry-Riddle got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the first inning, taking advantage of an error by the Sharks.
- The Eagles added five runs in the third inning, extending their lead to 6-0.
- NSU got into the run column in the fifth inning, as Roylan Quevedo came through with an RBI single.
- With the bases loaded in the top of the sixth inning, Justin Wachs came through with a two-run single, cutting the Eagles lead in half.
- Xavier Moronta followed with a two-RBI double before Quevedo tied the game with his second RBI in two innings.
- The Sharks took their first lead of the game in the top of the seventh inning, as Nick Rodriguez came through with a sacrifice fly.
- Jack Cue provided NSU with an insurance run, driving in Joel Cabrera, and giving the Sharks an 8-6 advantage.
- Embry-Riddle tied the game in the bottom of the ninth inning at 8-8 with a two-run single.
- The Sharks added two runs in the top of the tenth inning, taking a 10-8 lead.
- Carlos Nolasco recorded the final six outs for NSU, earning his fifth win of the season, as the Sharks won 10-8.
