GREENSBORO, N.C.- The 2026 ABCA NCAA Division II Region All-Defensive Teams have been announced across all eight regions. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association, with the selection process led by the ABCA NCAA Division II All-America & Coach of the Year Committee. Nova Southeastern's Roy Quevedo, a two-time Sunshine State Conference All-Defensive Team selection and veteran leader of the Sharks' defense, was named the 2026 ABCA NCAA Division II South Region All-Defensive Shortstop.

Quevedo posted an impressive .987 fielding percentage during the season, recording 60 putouts, 90 assists, and turning 19 double plays. At the plate, the Miami native batted .273, collecting 38 hits while tallying a team-high 32 walks and adding 28 RBIs.

In his two seasons with the Sharks, Quevedo has accumulated 110 putouts, 207 assists, and 36 double plays, while maintaining a .961 fielding percentage.
