#20 Sharks open SSC series against Florida Southern with a victory

LAKELAND, Fla. - The 20th-ranked Nova Southeastern Softball team had a dominant 10-0 victory in 6 innings on Friday night against the Florida Southern Moccasins. The Sharks were led by a tremendous pitching performance from Gracelyn Wallace, with six shutout innings, only allowing three hits along with four strikeouts. The NSU offense was led by Brianna Matthews and Lauren Margolis, as they each recorded at least a hit along with two RBI.

How it Happened

TOP 2nd- Samantha Dixon hit a sacrifice fly to center field to give the Sharks the early 1-0 lead.

TOP 5th- Lauren Margolis opens up the scoring for the Sharks with a 2-RBI single to center field to give the Sharks a 3-0 lead.

TOP 5th- Maliyah Lawson and Brianna Matthews drew walks, along with Samantha Dixon drawing a hit by pitch to extend the NSU lead to 6-0.

TOP 5th- Cassidy Duskin drives in another run to bring the lead to 7-0.

TOP 6th- Maliyah Lawson and Samantha Dixon each draw walk to walk home two more Sharks. Then, Brianna Matthews drove home one more on a single to left field to give NSU a 10-0 victory in 6 innings.
