FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - A walk-off single by
Jack Cue, in the bottom of the 10th inning, propelled the Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team to its ninth consecutive win, as NSU defeated No. 9 Florida Southern 10-9 on Friday evening in the first game of the Sunshine State Conference series.
Xavier Moronta extended his on-base streak to 31 consecutive games and his hitting streak to 10.

- Taking advantage of a lead-off walk, the Mocs got on the scoreboard with a RBI groundout in the top of the first inning.
- Roylan Quevedo tied the game with an RBI single, scoring Zeth Rodriguez, in the bottom of the third inning.
- A walk by Jack Cue loaded the bases for Boris Pena, who promptly unloaded them with a grand slam, and gave NSU a 5-1 lead.
- Florida Southern plated three runs in the top of the fifth and sixth inning, reclaiming the lead at 7-5.
- The Mocs added two more runs in the top of the seventh inning, leading 9-5.
- NSU rallied to tie the game in the bottom half of the seventh inning, plating four runs.
- Cue started the scoring with an RBI single, driving in Xavier Moronta,
- Later in the inning, Ty Torti drove in Quevedo with an RBI single, before Matthew Corpas brought in Cue with a sacrifice fly.
- Nick Rodriguez capped the inning with an RBI single, tying the game at 9-9.
- Edwin Alicea tossed a scoreless ninth and tenth inning for the Sharks in relief.
- NSU opened the tenth inning with three consecutive singles from Zeth Rodriguez, Justin Wachs, and Moronta.
- Cue game through with the game-winning hit, sealing the Sharks ninth consecutive win, with a 10-9 victory over Florida Southern.
