FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Nova Southeastern Sharks Baseball team was defeated 7-3 in the first game of the Sunshine State Conference series against the Barry Buccaneers on Friday evening at the NSU Baseball Complex.

- Barry got on the scoreboard first with a solo home run in the top of the second inning.
- The Buccaneers plated three runs in the top of the third inning, extending their lead to 4-0 over NSU.
- Zeth Rodriguez hit a two-run home run, his fifth of the season, providing all the Sharks' offense in the game in the bottom of the sixth.
- Barry plated three runs combined in the eighth and ninth inning, defeating the Sharks 7-3.

The Sharks will conclude their regular season on Saturday, May 10th, at the NSU Baseball Complex with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. Prior to the game, Nova Southeastern will honor
