WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Volleyball team picked up their first win in Sunshine State Conference play with a sweep over the Palm Beach Atlantic Sailfish on Saturday evening.

• The first set began with the Sharks taking a quick 3-1 lead with points from Brantley Chipley, Avery Piatt, and Taylor Stockman.
• The lead grew to 7-4 after a kill from Caiden Largent and a block from Olivia Aniol and Erika Spankus.
• The Sharks offense kept them ahead in the middle of the set, pulling ahead 12-8 with kills coming from Brantley Chipley, Olivia Aniol, and Erika Spankus.
• Points from Caiden Largent, Brooke Spurgeon, and Taylor Stockman took the Sharks advantage to 15-11.
• Olivia Aniol sparked a five-point run with a pair of blocks and a pair of kills to take the lead to 20-13.
• Erika Spankus put consecutive points on the board for the Sharks to push the score to 22-17.
• Taylor Stockman tallied back-to-back kills to wrap up the set win with a 25-19 score.
• The second set began with a pair of kills by Caiden Largent, as the Sharks trailed 4-2.
• The Sharks fell behind 12-4 as the Sailfish went on an 8-1 run.
• The Sharks offense began to gain some momentum, with kills from Erika Spankus, Taylor Stockman, Olivia Aniol, and Caiden Largent. The Sharks cut the deficit to 14-9.
• A 6-0 run saw the Sharks draw even in the middle of the set at 15-15, with points from Taylor Stockman, Caiden Largent, and Olivia Aniol.
• The Sharks regained the lead at 17-16 after a Caiden Largent kill.
• Brantley Chipley tallied a pair of points as the Sharks pulled ahead with a 22-19 score.
• The Sharks got points from Brantley Chipley, Taylor Stockman, and Caiden Largent as the second set finished with a 25-21 score.
• The beginning of the third set saw the Shark take a 4-1 advantage as Brantley Chipley, Caiden Largent, and Brooke Spurgeon all recorded points.
• A pair of points from Caiden Largent from a kill and a block assisted by Abbie Roth, and a kill by Olivia Aniol put the Sharks back ahead 7-5.
• Olivia Aniol continued to stack points with a kill and a block assisted by Abbie Roth, growing the Sharks lead to 11-6.
• A 4-1 scoring run from Erika Spankus, Olivia Aniol, and Brantley Chipley put the Sharks ahead 15-9.
• The trio of Erika Spankus, Caiden Largent, and Olivia Aniol added points to take the Sharks lead to 18-13.
• Olivia Aniol put consecutive points on the board for the Sharks as the score reached 21-17.
• The Sharks held off a late rally by the Sailfish as the lead was cut to 23-22.
• Caiden Largent put the final two points on the board with the deciding point coming from a block with an assist from Olivia Aniol, as the Sharks finished the sweep with a 25-22 final score.
