FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern University Sharks Volleyball team concludes the Shark Invitational, with a defensive showcase sweeping D'Youville University Saturday afternoon in the Rick Case Arena.
Taylor Stockman and
Brantley Chipley each totaled eight kills and seven blocks.

- A back and forth start to the first set with the teams alternating points taking the game to 7-7, Taylor Stockman tallied five of the seven points for the Sharks.
- Three points on kills from Erika Spankus, Olivia Aniol, and Caiden Largent made the score 10-8.
- A combo block by Brantley Chipley and Taylor Stockman sparked a run of four consecutive points giving the Sharks a 16-12 lead, with points from Erika Spankus and Abbie Roth.
- Kills from Brantley Chipley, Taylor Stockman, and Olivia Aniol added to the Sharks run, leading 21-13.
- The first set ended with two points from Olivia Aniol, and individual tallies from Erika Spankus and Caiden Largent.
- The second set started with a quick two-point spurt coming from a Brantley Chipley kill and a service ace from Caiden Largent.
- The Sharks benefited from strong defense, two points from Erika Spankus and a kill from Caiden Largent, growing the lead to 10-5.
- A complete rallying effort by the Sharks saw their lead grow to 19-9.
- Four point runs for each team brought the score to 23-15.
- Taylor Stockman put up consecutive points to close out the second set.
- The third set had a different starting tone, starting 4-0 from a pair of points from Brantley Chipley.
- A 10-2 run powered by Brantley Chipley, Caiden Largent, and Taylor Stockman ballooned the Sharks lead to 14-5.
- The Sharks held off a late seven-point swing from the Saints where the lead was cut to 16-12.
- Erika Spankus, Taylor Stockman, Brantley Chipley, and Natalya Bergant each added points in the closing stages of the third set, as the Sharks were victorious 25-18.1

The Sharks will head to Huntsville, Alabama to match up with Spring Hill College (Ala.) on Friday, September 12
