ORLANDO, Fla. – Following her championship-winning season with the Nova Southeastern Women's Tennis program, Kristyna Hranacova was featured as the first-ever guest on the debut episode of the "Sunshine State of Sports" Podcast, highlighting her remarkable journey to becoming one of the top players in the Sunshine State Conference.
Hranacova is coming off a historic 2025-26 campaign that saw her help lead the Sharks to the NCAA Division II Women's Tennis National Championship while also capturing the ITA National Doubles Championship. She finished the season ranked No. 1 nationally in both singles and doubles, becoming the first player since 2000 to achieve that distinction in the same season while also winning a national championship. On the court, Hranacova compiled an impressive 27-7 singles record and a 30-4 doubles record, earning All-SSC First Team honors in both disciplines along with ITA All-America recognition in singles and doubles.
The podcast also highlighted Hranacova's accomplishments away from competition. A Management major from the Czech Republic, she maintained a 3.98 GPA and was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Scholar-Athlete of the Year, a CSC Academic All-American, and an ITA Scholar-Athlete. Most recently, she earned one of the highest honors in collegiate athletics, being named the 2025-26 D2CCA National Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
