The Nova Southeastern University baseball team fell in their Sunshine State Conference series against the Eckerd College Tritons.

- Federico Zapata got the Friday night start for Nova Southeastern University.
- Both sides went through the opening inning scoreless.
- In the top of the second inning the Tritons opened the scoring, pushing across three runs on four hits, taking a 3-0 lead over the Sharks.
- Emilio Gonzalez and Jorge DeGoti worked their way on base with a walk and a base hit, the Sharks jumped onto the scoreboard in the bottom of the third inning with a Nick Rodriguez single to right field taking the score to 3-1.
- The Tritons bats erupted for six runs on six hits in the top of the fourth inning, expanding their lead to 9-1.
- The Sharks bullpen held strong, keeping the Tritons off the scoreboard through the seventh inning.
- In the bottom of the seventh inning, Roy Quevedo, Sebastian Garavito, and Emilio Gonzalez all reached with one out to load the bases. Jorge DeGoti lined a base hit to left field to bring in Roy Quevedo. Nick Rodriguez followed with an RBI base hit of his own to plate Garavito, and cut the Tritons lead to 9-3.
- The Tritons added a run in the top of the eighth and ninth innings, ultimately finishing the game with a 11-3 final score.

- In the second game of the series the Sharks deployed Nick Manning as the starting pitcher.
- Nick Manning struck out three of the four batters he faced in his first inning.
- The Tritons took a 1-0 lead following a pair of hits and a walk in the second inning.
- Eckerd College added two runs on three hits in the top of the third inning, pushing their lead to 3-0.
- In the top of the fifth inning, the Tritons pushed across two runs on four hits, taking a 5-0 lead over the Sharks.
- In the bottom of the fifth inning, Joel Cabrera, Michael Arnold, and Anthony Stinson all reached in consecutive order, loading the bases.
- With one out in the inning, Roy Quevedo ripped a line drive down the right field line to bring in all three runners with a three-run triple, cutting the deficit to 5-3.
- The Tritons pulled farther away from the Sharks in the top of the sixth inning with a homerun, taking the score to 7-3.
- In the top of the eighth inning, Eckerd College added another run to their line, pushing their lead to 8-3.
- Down to the final three outs of the game, Nick Rodriguez opened the bottom of the ninth with a walk, after consecutive outs were recorded Jorge DeGoti came to the plate and delivered an RBI double to left field, taking the score to 8-4.
- The Tritons held on to finish the game with an 8-4 final score.

- For the series finale the Sharks turned to Antonio Turco-Rivas to begin the game.
- Antonio Turco-Rivas worked through a jam in the first inning with double play and a strikeout, keeping the Tritons off the scoreboard.
- The Sharks offense struck first, as Jack Cue deposited a solo homerun (2) over the leftfield wall, putting the Sharks ahead 1-0.
- The Tritons immediately responded as they pushed across three runs in the top of the third inning, taking a 3-1 lead.
- Eckerd College continued to add runs quickly, doubling their total in the top of the fourth and claiming a 6-1 lead over the Sharks.
- The Tritons added another run in the top of the fifth inning, pushing their lead to 7-1.
- In the top of the seventh inning, the Tritons added three more runs as they took their advantage to 10-1.
- Late in the game the Tritons added another pair of runs, raising their lead again to 12-1.
- The Sharks opened the bottom of the eighth inning with three consecutive hits by Manuel Sanchez, Nick Rodriguez, and Dakota Jones. Roy Quevedo and Ty Torti each brought in a run, taking the score to 12-3.
- The Tritons tallied the final run of the game in the top of the ninth as they took the final game of the series with a 13-3 final score.

The Sharks will take to the road for a pair of games against the University of West Florida on Wednesday, March 4
