ORLANDO, Fla. - The Sunshine State Conference announced its weekly award winners for the week of March 30 - April 5, and two Sharks were highlighted. Sativa James was named Women's Outdoor Track & Field Sprints Athlete of the Week and Varsity 4+ was named Women's Rowing Boat of the Week, respectively.
James turned in a standout performance at the Embry-Riddle Running Elements Classic, winning the 400-meter dash in 55.83. Her time ranks top three in Nova Southeastern program history.
Nova Southeastern delivered a strong performance at the regatta, highlighted by a first-place finish from its Women's Varsity 4+ crew. The group posted a winning adjusted time of 7:48.920, edging UCO by over two seconds. Coxswain Chrysta Snair led the crew of Margianna Petridi, Jordan Maruskin, Lucia Allen, and Gianna Middleton.

James and Varsity 4+ will be back in action this week, as the track team will compete at the Lee University Fast Break Invitational on April 10th and the rowing team will compete at the Knecht Cup starting on April 11th.
