GREENWOOD, Ind. – College Sports Communicators announced Tuesday that three players from the Nova Southeastern Sharks baseball team have been named to the 2025-26 Academic All-District Team.
To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must maintain at least a 3.50 cumulative GPA and Student-athletes must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played OR must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances OR pitched 35 innings.
The Sharks earned three All-District selections, as Dakota Jones, Federico Zapata and Emilio Gonzalez were all recognized.
The 2026 Academic All-District® Baseball teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes baseball honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Zapata and Gonzalez will advance to the national ballot and are now eligible for selection to the CSC Academic All-America® Team, which is voted on by sports information directors from across the country.
