FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. – The Nova Southeastern Men's Soccer team fell to Carson-Newman 2-0 in their opening night contest. The Sharks battled throughout the match, but two second-half goals from the Eagles proved to be the difference.

- The Sharks and Eagles battled to a scoreless first half.
- Nova Southeastern created several chances, but Carson-Newman goalkeeper Ivar Steggo Forsse made key saves.
- Carson-Newman took a 1-0 lead in the 67th minute on a goal from Oscar Davey, assisted by Rayane Sid Ahmed.
- Davey scored again in the 86th minute, assisted by Mac Hickman, to make it 2-0.
- The Sharks had late chances but couldn't find the back of the net.
Nova Southeastern will be back in action on Sunday, August 30th at 7:00 pm as they take on Lincoln Memorial.
