Annual Certification Requirements
All coaching staff must complete the required annual certification before being permitted to: 1. engage in off-campus recruiting of prospective student-athletes; and 2. direct, supervise or observe countable athletically related activities.

Responsibilities of Head Coach
Per NCAA Division II Bylaw 11.1.2.1, the head coach is not only responsible for their own actions but also for the compliance of their entire program.
Core Tenets of Coach Responsibility:
The Compliance Climate: A head coach is required to promote an atmosphere of compliance within the program. This means setting a tone where rules are respected and prioritized over winning.
Monitoring Staff: The coach must monitor the activities of all institutional staff members (assistant coaches, graduate assistants, and volunteers) who report directly or indirectly to them.
Reporting Obligations: If a head coach becomes aware of a potential violation, they have an affirmative duty to report it to the institution's compliance office immediately.

Sports Safety Training
Each head coach and all other coaches who are employed full time at an institution shall maintain current certification in first aid, cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automatic external defibrillator (AED) use.
Sports Wagering
Student-athletes, coaches, and athletics department staff are prohibited from participating in sports wagering activities related to any intercollegiate, amateur, or professional competition in a sport in which the NCAA conducts a championship. This includes placing, accepting, or soliciting a wager of any type (cash, dinner, etc.) on any sport that the NCAA sponsors (e.g., football, basketball, baseball, golf, tennis, etc.).
